Afeef mengigau!

Sgt klaka! We went to celebrate his Achik's bday at Pizza Hut Ampang
Park. Mkn pasta sgt byk, I've only discovered his cravings towards
pasta just recently. Agaknye sedap sgt pasta, mlm tu siap ngigau tgh
mkn! Mata tutup, tp tgn suap mulut n kunyah mouthfully, lps tu tgn
menggapai mcm amik food from pinggan hidang then ltk on his
plate..cutela chebol mama ni mmuahh!

Milkaholic!

Saya tgh gile mkn chocolate ini, sgt sedap! Rase manis2 lemak2 coklat masam2 strawberry yogurt, sgt sedap! 2 bar sekali hadap selambe, sgt sedap!

Ye satu office dh terpengaruh dgn saya maka inila hasilnya: one whole wastebasket full of milka packs!!

Afeef 1st Surgery

Afeef selalu jatuh. Everytime jatuh mesti tersembam muke dulu n mulut
wajib pecah n byk darah sbb gigi tergigit bibir. Baru last 2 weeks
Afeef jatuh mcm tu n I said to Mak, Afeef mesti jatuh sembam muke
dulu, mulut wajib berdarah. Org kate ibu jgn byk ngate ank bende
xelok, nnt mcm doa.

Arini Afeef jatuh lg, mase keluar bfast dgn Nekni n Ucu Ana kt Risyad.
Balik umah Babah n Mama cpt2 ltk minyak mcm biase. Afeef trus tertdo
lps mnum only 1.5 ounce milk sbb penat mnangis. At 2pm i.e after
nearly 3hrs jatuh, mulut Afeef still bleeding, pelik. Biase sekejap dh
kering. Mama suluh mulut Afeef yg still asleep dgn torchlight,
terkejut Mama, d cut was deep n bleeding still.

Bergegas Mama n Babah bwk ke Columbia Puchong. As expected, Afeef need
stitches, what we didn't expect is, he was referred to a surgeon n
Anaesthetist is involved. Kids below 4 yrs can't be stitched as
outpatient n without anaesthetic according to MO. Afeef needs to be
warded for d procedure n puase for 6 hours prior surgery. It was a
minor one as assured by d MO, only 1-2 stitches. Surgery was scheduled
at 6pm however postponed to 6.30pm.

Babah was to accompany Afeef smpi d Anaesthetist put him to sleep with
gas. Once asleep Babah is supposed to exit the OT n d surgeon will
take him from there. I was v worried n feeling doubtful especially on
giving him any anaesthetic however pujuk hati ni, xpe just 1-2
stitches n my baby will be fine n recover faster. Tapi bile smpi OT d
anaesthetist start asking me scary Qs like "Puan, are you aware of
what d surgeon is going to do to your son?" while hubby was led thru d
backdoor to change to OT scrub. I started to doubt our decision even
more. I felt like running out of the OT with my baby in my arms but i
know, it was too late.

Abang appeared looking handsome in OT scrub n took our baby from me, i
watched them walking into the OT with a big lump in my throat, i felt
like crying seeing his pitiful beautiful big eyes staring at me while
Babah took him inside as though begging me silently to stop this from
happening. I cried anyway as I walked back to the ward.

After 1/2 hour d surgeon came out n see us, everything's fine. The
wound was flower shaped, not a simple straight line, so we understood
very well it's more than 2 stitches. Doc said d wound should heal in
3-5 days, Afeef couldn't come out just yet as they need to monitor him
like taking his bp etc.

He came out after an hour in d OT looking much worse as his mouth
swells even more than before due to the surgery and he looked so
miserable n groggy due to the GA.

Tonight as I'm typing this entry, I'm sleeping alone with Amalia,
already missing my baby boy who's spending d night at the hospital
with Babah taking care of him, thank you suamiku sayang...
Mama doa sangat2 Afeef cepat sembuh, sayanngg buah hati Mama..

REZEKI

When we talk about REZEKI it always means the source of money to some of us, including me. And by money, rezeki therefore means career, well, at least to me.

I've been working in the same company since I 1st graduated, that makes it nearly 5 stagnant years. I think for some concrete reasons, finally it's time for me to move on. 1stly, I'm feeling bored already, not because of doing the same thing for 5 years, not. My company is a small consultant, therefore you get surprise tasks all the time, Aishah, I want you to do analysis on structural design..Aishah, you are now the project engineer of this job, so start monitoring the progress of all discipline from now..Aishah, I want you to procure some steels and timber for this project, please do the MTO 1st and start sending Purchase Order...Aishah, there's a problem with the Fresh Water System in this project, please study and find out the problem...Aishah, we're now eyeing for Wellhead Platforms, please do some study as I want you to become the Process Engineer for these projects..it's always a new thing, new experience, every day.

You see? My CV is kinda colourful, with too many experiences in too various specialization, I can become a Process Engineer, a Safety Engineer, a Project Engineer, a Structural Engineer and etc etc. I always complained as I always wanted a focus and more specialized job so I can be an expert in that 1 particular field. But Abang always assured me that this will be good for my CV, CV you cantik as he always said. But sejak mengandung kan Amalia, I think my patience has reached the limit, enough already of doing things without guidance (we have no senior engineers at the office, so you are on your own all the time), enough of being a Multitask Engineer aka an ES (Engineer Sampah) as we always joked at the office.

Furthermore, for the 1st time in my 5 years working there, our pay due for 2 months, 2 CONSECUTIVE MONTHS! It's like a sign to me, for my whole 2 months confinement period, we didn't get our salary! Nasib baik tgh dlm pantang, so I feel nothing but relax, no need in paying parkings n lunches except for online shopping hehehe! So I've started sending out CV (in jobstreet mostly) after 1month confinement i.e. luka dh baik skit and dh bole duduk on chair lama in front of laptop. To my disappointment, almost every job I applied on jobstreet get viewed by the employer for more than once, 1 job even viewed my CV for 10 times! But at last, the status was unsuccessful, I get a lot of under considerations and kept for reference too but later the status changed to unsuccessful. More colleagues of mine are resigning while I'm in my confinement period and get a better offer at multinational companies while my effort remain fruitless. It was a totally devastating experience for me. I felt useless and demoralized at a point.

Then one day, I burst into tears, confiding to my dearest hubby, why orang lain murah rezeki, senang sangat dpt keje, there's even 1 newbie at my office who got a job that I applied too and he always seek for my advice at the office in doing analysis but he got the job while I was not even called for an interview. I started to think that I'm cursed and maybe hidup I x diberkati Allah and start to find what's wrong about me that make me an unlucky person.

As expected, as always, Abang just laughed while my tears are streaming down my cheeks. Abang said, Tak baik cakap macam tu, you ni x bersyukur. You ingat rezeki tu datang in 1 form je ke? Rezeki x semestinya your career only. Bersyukurla at least you already have a good job, bayangkan org lain yang xde keje langsung..tengok org yg lebih malang, org yg minta sedekah...jgn kita tgk org yg lebih bernasib baik...

And as usual, I always have points to refute back, Ala what's d point of having a good job if you didn't even got paid for it for 2 months? (I think i shud become a lawyer instead..maybe i've chose d wrong path anyway)

However deep in my heart, I start to think rationally, betul la..I memang x bersyukur, rezeki Allah beri pada makhlukNya comes in various forms, Allah Maha Kaya..memang I susah apply keje, tapi I terlupe sekejap pada nikmat dan rezeki yang tak terhingga yang dikurniakan padaku, sebuah keluarga yang bahagia and sepasang cahayamata yang comel sihat dan sempurna yang melengkapi hidup kami suami isteri..cukup hebat rezeki yang dikurniakan, cukup membahagiakan..tp sebab kecil macam ni, aku terlupa akan nikmat yang telah dikurniakanNya..mungkin ni ujian for me, untuk menguji sejauh mana kesyukuran I pada Allah swt, sejauh mana I tabah dan sabar..ya Allah berdosanya aku kerana tidak bersyukur dgn rezeki yang kau kurniakan, astaghfirullahaladziim...ya Allah ya Tuhanku, ampunkanlah dosa hambaMu ini dan jauhilah aku dan keluargaku dari sifat kufur..amin ya rabbal 'alamin..

Afeef - 1 yr and a half!

Afeef is now 1 yr and 6 mths and soon becoming Along!
Lama x update on Afeef's milestone so obviously dh macam2 Afeef pandai buat lagi pulak dh nk jadi abang ni lagi la tunjuk cerdik nye:
a) Dah pandai salam cium tangan, will do so obediently when asked to, since awal Ramadhan lagi i.e. at 1yr and 4mths old. Atok ckp bijak ni, nk practice utk dpt duit raya ek hehehe anak Babah..anak Babah..
b) Now sgt obedient bile ajak mandi or cebok. Bukakkan aje his pants/ tshirt  without being asked terus meluru ke pintu toilet and wait for me there. Why? Because he likes to play with water..hahaha!
c) Pandai kiss, bile ckp "Afeef kiss mama.." He'll plant a sloppy kiss on my cheek.
d) Dh tau what I mean by "HOT". And kalau nasi warna merah (diselaputi sambal) he knows it's hot and say "sss...haa..sssss..hhhaaa" indicating pedas. Yesterday I was eating nasi lemak and he look at my inviting red nasi and said.. "Naaakkkk! Ssssss..haaaa..ssss....hhhhaaa...nakkk!!" So I gave him a taste of it and he opened his mouth and the rest is history hahaha! Nampak sedap to him agaknya tp die x tahan pedas..And when I was drinking my hot milk, he came near me and said, "Nakkkk!!" sambil tgk my mug hopefully. I replied, "It's hot sayang.." And he turn away sambil geleng kepala and said, "Anakk!! Sssss...hhaaa...sss.."
e) Afeef is a very expressive boy, just like me. Whenever he's in excited mode, especially if he was playing with something yg sepatutnye ade sound or lights but xde sbb not switched on or bateri habis, when it is switched on and the toy came to life, terus menggigil2 satu2 badan die sambil tercopong2 muke die betapa menunjukkan die sgt2 teruja with the surprise...sgt cute n funny!
f) Afeef ade satu signature laugh...mmg xde sape akan bole tiru his laugh. The laugh came from suara dalam die..hehe mcm menyanyi pulak pakai suara dalam. Tapi yg pasti bunyi die mcm bergetar2 ade vibrato..dunno where did he get that..tersgt cute n funny!! Tapi kalau fikir2 balik maybe he's gifted with that talent since born sbb mase infant dulu bile die nangis, tangisan die bak kate Babah and Ucu Ana, ade vibrato. Nangis yg bergetar2...hihi!
g) Sangat susah nk makan nowadays, semua xnk, nk makan kene berkawan. Kalau suap org lain baru die pn nk jugak..
h) Sgt suke companion. Bile cousins die xde balik kampung, mula la jiwa die kacau...stress aje. Semua xkene. Likes to be in a crowd, he'll join the crowd but he'll not be joining the fun, buat hal sendiri. Org semua sibuk berebut kan Wii, he'll be in the crowd too but instead busy with main tolak kerusi and laci kabinet tv. Bak kate org putih, dare to be different hehe!

Word Jumble:
1) Naakk! = whenever he wants something, he'll say it loudly and clearly and very firmly..hmm truly ketua pengawas..
2) Anaakk! (sambil geleng2 kepala) = if he doesn't want something that's been offered to him.
3) Uwaii = If he wants to naik buai atok in the porch (sambil tunjuk buai).
4) Abiss = Ni rsnye dr umur 1yr 4mths die dh pandai ckp, whenever die tgk Indahnya Iman and dh abis, or tgk Alphabet Jungle and dh abis or makan/minum and dh abis he'll say "Abisss!" sambil tgn buat gesture dh abis n penat mama betulkan ckp "Finish.." die tetap ckp Abiss!
5) Dappp! = Pun dr 1yr 4mths, whenever he eats something nice, he'll say Dapp! Bibik ajar rasenye..

Chili's Lamb Shoulder

Well mcm mase Afeef jugak, walaupun this 2nd pregnancy I have a stronger craving compared to my 1st yg sgt xde mengidam sgt, tp Abang tetap has a stronger craving than me mcm mase I was pregnant of Afeef hehehe! Tapi this 2nd pregnancy, sejak 1st trimester Abang asik mengidam makanan Arab, asikla ajak pergi Ar-Rawsha or Al-Diafah..kesian Abang, coz I can't eat Makanan Arab due to some reasons already mentioned in previous post. Thanks to my BIL and family for serving us Ar-Rawsha menu mase beraya at their house, so Abang dh x mintak pergi Restoran Arab and now asik teringin Chili's Lamb Shoulder pulak hihihi!

Luckily, LS is also my fav, so off we went to Chilli's KLCC on last Thursday and mula2 Abang nk try other main dish sbb balik2 order LS kalau pegi Chili's, I told him, yg lain x sedap..but he insisted on trying. But when I ordered the all-time fav LS, terus Abang kecur and ordered the same. Sgt bernasib baik Abang ordered the LS too sbb the dish has been altered, i.e. they've added a small bowl of Black Pepper gravy besides the original serving! Mmg terbaekk! (sepatah kata abang hihi!) The marinate dah sedia sedap, topped with the delicious hot gravy, splendid!! Abang terus keluar verdict, "Dahla Lamb Shoulder mmg sedap, skang dh ade BP gravy, terus I dh x pandang lain dh!" So the pics that we took:

That's my newly bought Twilight..sempat lagi baca while waiting for Abang performing Isha' prayer hihi! Oh ya, forgot to mention, while waiting for our turn to be seated, we went to Kinokuniya to buy my 'bekal' for confinement period; Twilight and 2 of Shopaholic series to complete the set I have at home. Didn't bought the complete set of the Twilight Saga, but already showed to Abang the rack should I need him to buy the other 3 during my confinement hihi..kesian Abang beria2 hafal, as he said, that was the 1st time he entered Kino!

Sbb sampai sekarang masih terliur bile teringat balik the newly altered LS, and sbb I'm due anytime soon (I'm today entering my 38th weeks) and takut ngidam pulak sbb xleh pegi Chili's mase pantang so tonight we're planning on our 2nd visit to Chili's weehee!! Lamb Shoulder, here we come!!

**Dulu time mengandung Afeef, Abang sgt mengidam sate. Bole kate every mth mesti at least skali we both menuju straight from work to Sate Zaini at Ampang situated en route to KDE. Mmg sgt sedapp! Lagi sedap dr Sate Kajang yg digebang2kan sgt tu..huhu! Plg terbaek sate kambing die fuhhh sooo succulent!! (asyik2 yg sedap aje mesti kambing, yes, we both are "kambing couple" but we smell human) Satu kali tu bole aje Abang fetching me, and as soon I hopped in the car terus ckp, "Kenape tekak I terase2 Sate Kajang ni ek?" sambil buat muke drooling.

"Haa joomm..." I replied layan kan idaman abang heheh! Off we went to Kajang. Skali x sedap daaa...terus kitorg berbalik ke Sate Zaini from that moment on. Now Afeef with only 2 geraham on his upper jaw, sgt xsuke makan ayam dada in fact luakkan balik sbb keras n susah kunyah tp kalau bagi sate bole abis 2-3 cucuk, mengunyah dgn sabar!
