I attended a course on PDMS software today held at the KL Convention Centre. It was a very helpful short course for someone who knows nothing about PDMS, like me. The PDMS is actually a software used by Piping people (as in PDMS administrators, piping engineers and designers) to design pipes on an oil platform and of course, it's a niche product of AVEVA. And they are launching their latest version, PDMS 12.0, which has much cooler functions upgraded. I was surprised to discover in this one-day course that structural discipline can found this PDMS software very useful too especially in generating WCR and MTO with accurate pipes weight and COG. That's good news for me! :)
All in all, I had a great time during the course - superlicious foods served during breaks, informative talks by speakers from various organizations, and the best part is, to get to spend a whole solid day with him.. *dreamy eyes*. The course ended up with a sumptuous BBQ dinner while enjoying a Brasilian performance at BOM BRAZIL, a Brazilian restaurant located at Jln Changkat Bintang. The closing dinner ended up with lucky draws and prize giving for the Picture Competition Award.
