Afeef - 1 yr and a half!

Afeef is now 1 yr and 6 mths and soon becoming Along!
Lama x update on Afeef's milestone so obviously dh macam2 Afeef pandai buat lagi pulak dh nk jadi abang ni lagi la tunjuk cerdik nye:
a) Dah pandai salam cium tangan, will do so obediently when asked to, since awal Ramadhan lagi i.e. at 1yr and 4mths old. Atok ckp bijak ni, nk practice utk dpt duit raya ek hehehe anak Babah..anak Babah..
b) Now sgt obedient bile ajak mandi or cebok. Bukakkan aje his pants/ tshirt  without being asked terus meluru ke pintu toilet and wait for me there. Why? Because he likes to play with water..hahaha!
c) Pandai kiss, bile ckp "Afeef kiss mama.." He'll plant a sloppy kiss on my cheek.
d) Dh tau what I mean by "HOT". And kalau nasi warna merah (diselaputi sambal) he knows it's hot and say "sss...haa..sssss..hhhaaa" indicating pedas. Yesterday I was eating nasi lemak and he look at my inviting red nasi and said.. "Naaakkkk! Ssssss..haaaa..ssss....hhhhaaa...nakkk!!" So I gave him a taste of it and he opened his mouth and the rest is history hahaha! Nampak sedap to him agaknya tp die x tahan pedas..And when I was drinking my hot milk, he came near me and said, "Nakkkk!!" sambil tgk my mug hopefully. I replied, "It's hot sayang.." And he turn away sambil geleng kepala and said, "Anakk!! Sssss...hhaaa...sss.."
e) Afeef is a very expressive boy, just like me. Whenever he's in excited mode, especially if he was playing with something yg sepatutnye ade sound or lights but xde sbb not switched on or bateri habis, when it is switched on and the toy came to life, terus menggigil2 satu2 badan die sambil tercopong2 muke die betapa menunjukkan die sgt2 teruja with the surprise...sgt cute n funny!
f) Afeef ade satu signature laugh...mmg xde sape akan bole tiru his laugh. The laugh came from suara dalam die..hehe mcm menyanyi pulak pakai suara dalam. Tapi yg pasti bunyi die mcm bergetar2 ade vibrato..dunno where did he get that..tersgt cute n funny!! Tapi kalau fikir2 balik maybe he's gifted with that talent since born sbb mase infant dulu bile die nangis, tangisan die bak kate Babah and Ucu Ana, ade vibrato. Nangis yg bergetar2...hihi!
g) Sangat susah nk makan nowadays, semua xnk, nk makan kene berkawan. Kalau suap org lain baru die pn nk jugak..
h) Sgt suke companion. Bile cousins die xde balik kampung, mula la jiwa die kacau...stress aje. Semua xkene. Likes to be in a crowd, he'll join the crowd but he'll not be joining the fun, buat hal sendiri. Org semua sibuk berebut kan Wii, he'll be in the crowd too but instead busy with main tolak kerusi and laci kabinet tv. Bak kate org putih, dare to be different hehe!

Word Jumble:
1) Naakk! = whenever he wants something, he'll say it loudly and clearly and very firmly..hmm truly ketua pengawas..
2) Anaakk! (sambil geleng2 kepala) = if he doesn't want something that's been offered to him.
3) Uwaii = If he wants to naik buai atok in the porch (sambil tunjuk buai).
4) Abiss = Ni rsnye dr umur 1yr 4mths die dh pandai ckp, whenever die tgk Indahnya Iman and dh abis, or tgk Alphabet Jungle and dh abis or makan/minum and dh abis he'll say "Abisss!" sambil tgn buat gesture dh abis n penat mama betulkan ckp "Finish.." die tetap ckp Abiss!
5) Dappp! = Pun dr 1yr 4mths, whenever he eats something nice, he'll say Dapp! Bibik ajar rasenye..

Chili's Lamb Shoulder

Well mcm mase Afeef jugak, walaupun this 2nd pregnancy I have a stronger craving compared to my 1st yg sgt xde mengidam sgt, tp Abang tetap has a stronger craving than me mcm mase I was pregnant of Afeef hehehe! Tapi this 2nd pregnancy, sejak 1st trimester Abang asik mengidam makanan Arab, asikla ajak pergi Ar-Rawsha or Al-Diafah..kesian Abang, coz I can't eat Makanan Arab due to some reasons already mentioned in previous post. Thanks to my BIL and family for serving us Ar-Rawsha menu mase beraya at their house, so Abang dh x mintak pergi Restoran Arab and now asik teringin Chili's Lamb Shoulder pulak hihihi!

Luckily, LS is also my fav, so off we went to Chilli's KLCC on last Thursday and mula2 Abang nk try other main dish sbb balik2 order LS kalau pegi Chili's, I told him, yg lain x sedap..but he insisted on trying. But when I ordered the all-time fav LS, terus Abang kecur and ordered the same. Sgt bernasib baik Abang ordered the LS too sbb the dish has been altered, i.e. they've added a small bowl of Black Pepper gravy besides the original serving! Mmg terbaekk! (sepatah kata abang hihi!) The marinate dah sedia sedap, topped with the delicious hot gravy, splendid!! Abang terus keluar verdict, "Dahla Lamb Shoulder mmg sedap, skang dh ade BP gravy, terus I dh x pandang lain dh!" That's my newly bought Twilight..sempat lagi baca while waiting for Abang performing Isha' prayer hihi! Oh ya, forgot to mention, while waiting for our turn to be seated, we went to Kinokuniya to buy my 'bekal' for confinement period; Twilight and 2 of Shopaholic series to complete the set I have at home. Didn't bought the complete set of the Twilight Saga, but already showed to Abang the rack should I need him to buy the other 3 during my confinement hihi..kesian Abang beria2 hafal, as he said, that was the 1st time he entered Kino!

Sbb sampai sekarang masih terliur bile teringat balik the newly altered LS, and sbb I'm due anytime soon (I'm today entering my 38th weeks) and takut ngidam pulak sbb xleh pegi Chili's mase pantang so tonight we're planning on our 2nd visit to Chili's weehee!! Lamb Shoulder, here we come!!

**Dulu time mengandung Afeef, Abang sgt mengidam sate. Bole kate every mth mesti at least skali we both menuju straight from work to Sate Zaini at Ampang situated en route to KDE. Mmg sgt sedapp! Lagi sedap dr Sate Kajang yg digebang2kan sgt tu..huhu! Plg terbaek sate kambing die fuhhh sooo succulent!! (asyik2 yg sedap aje mesti kambing, yes, we both are "kambing couple" but we smell human) Satu kali tu bole aje Abang fetching me, and as soon I hopped in the car terus ckp, "Kenape tekak I terase2 Sate Kajang ni ek?" sambil buat muke drooling.

"Haa joomm..." I replied layan kan idaman abang heheh! Off we went to Kajang. Skali x sedap daaa...terus kitorg berbalik ke Sate Zaini from that moment on. Now Afeef with only 2 geraham on his upper jaw, sgt xsuke makan ayam dada in fact luakkan balik sbb keras n susah kunyah tp kalau bagi sate bole abis 2-3 cucuk, mengunyah dgn sabar!

Ramadan 1431H

Dulu before I was married, frankly speaking, Ramadan doesn't bring much meaning to me. To me, Ramadan means, I have to fast for a month, pergi solat Tarawikh tiap2 malam, kadang2 rasa letih x pegi pun xde perasaan rugi. Bile balik tarawikh, lepak makan morikh (i.e. sakibaki makanan berbuka yg masih banyak lagi) or sometimes kalau penat sgt terus tertido. I looked forward more to Syawal and rase x sabar nak end Ramadan sbb nk raye, makan kuih raya n minum air gas sambil lepak2 depan tv tgk program Raya. Kurang penghayatan, astaghfirullahalaziim..

Eversince I was married to Abang & his family, my Ramadan definition has totally change, Alhamdulillah to a much better definition. Everytime nak Ramadan, rase excited satu macam. Xsabar nk Tarawikh, xsabar nk pegi Tadarus after Tarawikh kt rumah BK ('rumah ibu' family Abang) and bile dah nk abis sebulan Ramadan rase rugi sgt, and rase mcm menyesal sbb xcukup memanfaatkan sebulan Ramadan. Sejak kahwin, Raya pun seronok jugak sbb byk berjalan Raya, family abang extremely besar. Abah asal Kg Baru, adik beradik 10 org, Mak pulak asal Petaling, adik-beradik 6 org, belum campur tok nenek sedara Abang lagi. Ramai betul. Satu hari berjalan sampai 5 buah rumah, itu biase..Raya seminggu hari2 berjalan Raya, belum kira yg datang rumah, mmg seronok sbb jalan beraya beramai2 rombongan smpi 5-6 bijik kereta, cukup meriah. Tapi tetap rase Ramadan lebih bermakna.

Tahun lepas I didn't have the chance to Tarawikh at the Masjid sbb Afeef mase tu baru 4-5 months old and fully on breastfeeding. So solat tarawikh di rumah aje, kurang semangat bile solat sendiri berbanding jemaah di Masjid. Tadarus pun kadang2 je dpt pergi sbb selalu Abang balik Tarawikh, I'm already fast asleep keletihan sbb menyusu badan.

Tahun ni, walaupun masih rase x cukup memanfaatkan sebulan Ramadhan, tapi rase paling happy n puas setakat ni, 1stly sbb dpt solat Tarawikh di Masjid bergilir2 dengan Bibik, since Afeef dh fully on FM and Afeef dh besar n pandai main2 dgn cousins and bawak diri. Terpakse bergilir sbb Bibik pn nk solat di Masjid juga. And 2ndly, I get to Tadarus in the same group as Abang*. Rase semangatnye satu macam, and rase bahagia :)

Furthermore, Abang punya ilmu dalam bacaan Al-Quran jauh lebih dalam dari orang lain dalam family especially me, so Abang banyak betulkan my bacaan sepanjang tadarus dari segi panjang harakat and tajwid. Terasa banyak sangat dapat belajar dr Tadarus tahun ni, thank you sayang..I love you soooo very much~

Afeef pn dah besar and bijak, bila pergi Tadarus rumah BK, we always angkat him while sleeping, awal2 selalu terjaga bile diangkat, and bile tengok org ramai dalam bulatan masing2 pegang Al-Quran, die pun sibuk nk pegang so I gave him a Yassin or sometimes pinjam buku Iqra' his Uncle Aqil. Nanti die pun sibuk membaca siap berlagu2 tiru intonation org2 mengaji and tarik2 nafas dalam2 after every stop, bijak betul meniru org tua..hehe. And then masuk 2nd week die dah macam immune diangkat2 naik turun kereta pergi tadarus, so he stayed asleep sampai la kami abis Tadarus and balik rumah Taman semula.

*Footnote: Before this we Tadarus in different group lelaki and perempuan separately and bahagi2kan juz sbb nk abis cepat n dapat khatam 2-3 kali, tp tahun ni sbb Abang cakap kalau buat macam tu xbole khatam sbb xdikire tadarus bersama, maka kami buat only 1 group tadarus and dapat khatam only once.

People who tossed their dirty tissues outside their car window while the car is moving, people who likes to litter simply because they think someone else can do the charity to pick up their rubbish, people who park in the middle of the road while they can actually park at the side of the road without disturbing the traffic and taking their own sweet time kissing goodbyes, popping up the trunk and taking their briefcase out of the trunk, and jalan lenggang kangkung exchanging place with the driver and owh hunny, you forget your blackberry sambil waving the BB high to the hubby yg dh jalan meninggalkan kereta..and so the hubby walk back to the car lenggang kangkung to take the BB and baru the wife get in the car and drove off and by that time there are 5 cars behind them waiting and watching the drama. These are just examples of people who we can meet outside there and have got nothing to do with your life, but the sight of them are just an eye sore.

 

But what if these people lives under the same roof as you?? Believe me, it's LIVING HELL.

Afeef - Ketua Pengawas

Afeef sejak lahir until now dh 5 kali warded:
1) 10 days old - Jaundice (An-Nur)
2) 1 mth old - prolonged jaundice (breastmilk jaundice) (An-Nur)
3) 3 mths old - broncheolitis (An-Nur)
4) 8 mths old - broncheolitis (KBMC)
5) 1 yr old - HFM disease (Pusrawi KL)

Afeef dah la budak panjang, everytime check up, his Paed akan measure & weigh badan die, head circumference & weight falls on 50th Centile* each time, therefore means they're average babies' measurements kot. But bila ukur panjang bdn mesti terlebih 97th Centile* of which his Paed selalu exclaimed bile mark his height on the growth curve. And bile die masuk hospital mase 1st and 2nd time due to jaundice, he was placed in the nursery, and sebab badan die penuh satu bassinet, his Paed called him Ketua Darjah in the nursery huhuhu.. When he was warded for the 3rd time, he was placed in the bassinet and placed in the NICU for a night sbb Mama xdpt bilik, and sebab kaki die hampir terjulur, his Paed tegur, "Owh dah besar dh ketua darjah" and Babah replied to his Paed, "Ketua Darjah dah naik pangkat jadi Ketua Pengawas." And so melekat la gelaran tu his Paed called him sampai sekarang.

Tapi xsangka pulak gelaran tu membentuk sedikit2 his personality. Bile dah pandai jalan and bijak ni, makin nampak ke"ketuapengawasan"nye. Suka in charge when playing with friends, bukan gila kuasa as in merampas semua mainan, but as in sangat vocal and lantang whereby his friends tengok aje die membebel2. And perangai yang die baru develop weekend baru ni is perangai garang..adussss! Cemane ni anak sulung mama ni garang..kebetulan pulak he was cranky unlike usual, a happy weasel (another nickname given by his Paed sbb happy aje walaupun demam). Sebabnye die kene ruam2 mcm HFM but not, due to allergy to Varicella vaccination last week. The situation took place at my home, his Che was playing with him, and Che buat2 marah die cepat2 die lepuknye peha Che sambil kerut kening ala Johnny Bravo terangkat sebelah tu..lepas tu die buat kt Mama pulak, bile Mama larang die something, he will lepuk me sambil mumbling xpuas hati ending with "haaaa.." sambil kerut2 kening..haish anak bujang mama ni...

Baru lepas solat dgn Mama

Main wallet mama is his another fav pastime..

Sejak anak bujang kami ni botak, rase mcm dewasa sgt..dh macam abang2 dah..belum dapat adik lagi. Macam2 dh pandai, maybe kepala die rase ringan so akal jadi panjang kot heheh..

1) Balik kerja semalam Afeef was outside playing, die mmg budak outdoor. Xsuke duduk dlm rumah terkurung or mengadap tv je, lagi appreciate activity luar like playing bikes, playing balls (sumpah banyak gler balls kat rumah tu, all the cousins except for 1, tapi bola die yg satu tu menjadi rebutan dgn syasya hihi..kids..) and kadang2 just jalan2 keluar peluh petik2 pokok (nk tolong atok landscaping ekk..). Anyways, upon hearing our car engine cepat2 die jalan toward us and Mama noticed his kengkang and bongkok dh kurang, jalan sangat tegak and x kengkang, nampak macho betul anak mama jalan mcm tu hehe..oh did i mentioned before about him walking kengkang n bongkok sebab terlalu berhati2, so dgn jalan gaya centu die rase COG lagi rendah maka possibility untuk jatuh dgn luka or sakit is very low sbb either sbb sgt stable or klu nk terjatuh pn sempat tahan...ehehe anak bujang kami yg sgt berhati2..

2) Word Jumble:

     - Makin banyak words dah dengar sikit2 bunyi, n cepat aje nk mengikut kite cakap:

        a) Ommee: comel

        b) Ba..ba.. (sambil tunjuk2 kt huruf2 jawi dalam Iqra' = huruf Ba

        c) Tatt = cat

        d) Bye = bidding goodbye (sebut sgt clear siap intonasi, waving hand n expression muke 10 markah)

        e) Air = air

        f) Abah = Babah

        g) Wawa = Mama (sedih betul xreti nk sebut mama lagi..)

        h) Bibik = Bibik (ni yg mama xpuas hati ni, bole sebut clearly isk isk)

        i) Ishh = Fish (ni antara 1st word die sbb suke sgt main fish, rasenye since die masuk 1year old)

        j) Tchok = Atok

        k) Hal = apehal? (Babah la ni, main2 ckp dgn die centu pastu die ikut...ishhh...)

        l) tcheh = shoes
       m) tho = go

    

 3) He even understood commands like:

       a) Put it back.. = he'll put back.

       b) Good boy = he'll clap his hands sambil tersengih gembira, suke kene puji, kadang2 die buat degil, when we said "put it back" but he didn't, we'll say "come on sayang, good boy..good boy.." and he'll immediately put the things back and clap his own hands and then amik balik the thing hahaha..gerammm betull..

       c) No = he'll geleng2 kepala

       d) Come let's iqra' sambil Babah pegang buku Iqra' = he'll datang cepat and sit on Babah's lap

       e) Allahuakbar = terus angkat takbiratul ihram and solat his way.

       f) Finish = he'll do hand gestures "Finish"

       g) Dirty = He'll say "wekk.." sambil jelir lidah. (sebab mama suke cakap "dirty..yekk.." sambil buat muke)

4) He already notice/remember the things that I always forbid him doing and he'll do it quietly in a corner that he thinks I might not noticed (nyorok2):

      a) Kutip makanan atas lantai and masuk mulut: Mase tu Mama perasan die kutip something and cepat2 pergi dekat 1 sofa at a corner and tersorok2 membelek bende tu with his two debab hands sambil tengok2 mama...and when I came nearer and said, what are you doing...cepat2 he hand over the thing which is sebijik kacang! ish..ish..

      b) playing with his nailclipper: Mmg disimpan dlm his toiletries basket and I placed it bottom most sbb biase die xkan jumpe sbb he always pick things randomly from the basket and normally he only pick up lotion bottle or powder or his comb which are harmless. One night while Mama solat isya' (which qiblat faces the toiletries basket, mula2 die solat same, after a while die distracted and went to the basket. Bole pulak this time he take out all the things inside and susun outside basket elok2 until he reaches something at the bottom and cepat2 lari with the "thing" ke belakang Mama yang tengah solat and duduk menggodek the thing. I was not sure what he found, and mase rukuk, Mama curi pandang (astaghfirullah xkhusyuk solat mama dibuatnye) because he sat sebelah mama just belakang sikit je from my side facing backwards and he noticed me looking, and I saw the nailclipper! Cepat2 Mama berdehem kuat and he understood my disapproval and cepat bangun and  put the nailclipper back into the basket! subhanallah bijaknya anak mama ni...

5) Sangat extrovert and social and peramah. Pantang nampak budak2 range umur less than 12 years old mesti nak berbual dengan becoknya sambil menepuk2 org tu and cakap dgn lantang, and biasenye budak2 tu akan back off a bit maybe sebab takut takut or intimidated by his forwardness huhuhu! Kalau kat Annur paed tu, sibuk nk main mainan org bukan niat merampas sbb die xrampas, tp mcm nk join same as though nk ckp.."eh jom la main same, xsyok la main sorang.." and of course budak tu biasenye akan melarikan mainan tersebut sbb takut..huhuhu!

6) kurang suke tgk cartoon (except for his alphabet jungle and the great numbers game), biase tgk cartoon tercengang seminit then terus bermain2..tapi kalau indahnya iman, bole tgk x berkedip mata, ternganga dari awal sampai habis, siap xpuas mesti nk duduk betul2 depan tv and pegang the tv cabinet. Die paling suke Ustaz Zulkarnain yang Qalam Suci tu siap goyang2 badan and langsung xberpaling even kte panggil byk kali. Kalau tgh syok main bola outside with cousins bile dengar je indahnya iman dah start, xkisah la zikrullah or asmaul husna, berlari2 masuk dgn kasut2 sbb nk tgk tv and terus terpacak dpn kaca tv walaupun ade sorakan cousins in excitement outside, akan terpusing kepala tgk sesaat then toleh tgk tv balik...subhanallah..Mama plan nak install Astro dalam bilik sbb nk encourage him watching English cartoons sbb cousins die suke tgk cartoon alihbahasa Melayu (adeke cartoon at Playhouse Disney Channel punye conversation "Cantiknya NIGHT ni.." rosak bahasa) but whats d point, Afeef bkn tgk pn...die lagi suke main and read books.

CPK

Dulu masa pregnant of Afeef, xde specifically mengidam anything cume perasan la selera tu more to masakan melayu. Sangat gile makan cili padi, walhal seumur hidup sebelum pregnant kalau makan any food nampak cili padi dalam lauk asingkan awal2 takut tergigit walaupun dh layu dek dimasak. Bole pulak tetibe mase pregnant every meal wajib ade cili padi hidup and make sure every suapan mesti ade 3-4 potong cili padi, kalau x xrase kick nye...ehhh pelik pulakk..lawan tokei betul (tokei = dearest hubby yang kuat pedas, die pun terbeliak tgk wife die yg aneh sbb die pn x mcm tu). Lepas tu suke makan ikan bilis garing, pun pelik sbb selalu asingkan awal2 mcm cili padi jugak, tp xla segila makan cili padi. Penyudahnya Afeef mmg bertekak melayu, sebijik Babah..ape Babah xsuke makan confirm die pn xsuke, haih kesian Mama masak lasagna ke mac n cheese ke semua xpenah dpt sambutan.

Tapi pregnancy kali ni, selera byk ke arah mat saleh specifically Italian. Makanan Arab and Jepun/Korean are big No-no sbb mase early pregnancy (xtau pn mase tu pregnant) we were in Korea, and asikla makan Korean food, kalau x pun Arab restaurant diterjah kat sane, so mase tu maybe sbb dh start rs fatigue and pening2 lalat so now bile sebut makanan arab and korean pn rs kembang tekak. Melayu tu tetap di hati, still suke makan ikan bilis and cili padi, tapi selalu rase teringin nak makan something western, kerjanya asik carik Waffle (Daily Fresh's is the best!!) and satu lagi kepingin pizza, pulak tu xnk makan the simple fast food pizza like Pizza Hut or Dominos (no offence to their fan but I personally think those pizza are nothing but a piece of bread topped with lauk-pauk esp those yang perisa sate la, tom yam la..lemak cili api ade?).

My definition of pizza is always pizza = Italian food thus mesti ade rase strong Italian herbs like oregano and basils and thyme whatnot. And disebabkan once a upon a time pernah plan a lunch date with Anim & Amir, which Anim initially recommended California Pizza Kitchen but later on changed our venue to House of Sundanese Food sebab suami2 kelaparan nasi hehe..And kebetulan pulak mmg nk treat this lovely couple lunch sbb terhutang budi yang amat atas penat lelah Amir pergi airport menyelamatkan my Freestyle pump yang nearly kene custom tax, so we planned a lunch date at CPK last Thursday at KLCC. Xsangka seperti dijangka the pizza was as described in the website, so Italian!! (although the name is California Pizza) Pictures speak a thousand words so they say unfortunately we were too busy berebut2 makan sampai terlupe nak snap pics tau2 dh licin pinggan so these pics are among what we ordered and are extracted from the website so explains the exaggerating texture but worry not coz the real one is about the same!

Punyela sedap pizza die, sampai balik kerja pn masih terasa2 pizza die dalam dinding mulut, and normally balik rumah from work terus dinner, but that day hubby tanye, "xlapar ke?" (sbb die tgk wife die ni relax aje dlm bilik). "Xnak makan bole x nanti rasa pizza ni hilang dr mulut.." I replied hahahah!

And the next day, I had a lunch plan with Tasya n Chura at KLCC, dengan xtau malunye mak yong ngidam ni ajak g CPK tp nak tong-tong sbb xde fulus huhuhu! Nasib baik la my dearest SFs ni sanggup melayan kerenah mak yong sorang ni, thank you darlings I love you soo mucchh mmuaahh!! So serba sedikit yang we ordered:

so the result is this when you have backlight, thanx to the Flash application,

at least xdela silhouette je like the original one.

Oh BTW, they don't have Tabasco but that sauce bottle in front of us tu, lg sedap dr Tabasco!
