It's a girl! :D

Today was my routine gynae check up, lame x tgk adik Ahza, dah pandai buat apa agaknye anak Mama sorang ni. Girl ke boy agaknye. Ikut rasa hati Mama rasa2nye girl:

1) Mama lagi suke melawa pregnant kan adik Ahza drpd mase Abg Long Afeef dulu.

2) Dahi Mama ni xpenah sepi daripada jerawat sejak mula2 pregnantkan adik Ahza sampai la now dh nk masuk 22 weeks pregnancy. Kalau sebijik-dua tahan lagi, ni berterabur satu dahi, org kata anak perempuan tarik seri muka mak die. Haish, minta2 lawa la anak Mama ni sbb byk sgt seri muka mama ditariknya amin..hehehe..

3) Masa pregnant kan Abg Long Afeef dulu, perut mama cantik lonjong aje..siap bole rase kiri kanan perut nk dekat2 pinggang mama tu kosong. Adik Ahza ni Mama bole perasan perut mama cantik jugak hehe..tp bulaaat aje. Siap rase berisi kiri kanan yang dekat pinggang tu, girl kot...heheh..

4) Mase pregnantkan Abg Long Afeef, Mama rajin baking, masak mesti nk masak pelik2 yg kene guna oven, lasagna aje rsnye dekat 10 kali jugak Mama masak mase pregnantkan Abg Long. Tuna casserole ntah bape kali, cupcakes lagi. Tapi masakan melayu biasa malas. Tapi pregnantkan Adik ni Mama rajin masak melayu lagi, baking xde terdetik pn dlm hati.

Anyway, check up td terkejut berat naik 3kg drpd last month's record! Dh agak dh, doktor nampak upset dgn my weight gain, siap bulatkan lagi sambil pesan pls monitor your weight, less sugar intake, rice intake and banyakkan minum susu and obimin only. Takut bahaya pd baby. Max weight gain allowed is 2kg, huhuhu..Ape taknye, makan muara la, chili's la, hari2 lunch nasi separuh macam penuh pulak tu xsuke membazir, kenyang teramat pn paksa jugak habiskan walaupun slow, hari2 makan kitkat or picnic sbb tgh mengidam. Ish ish ish...terpakse la diet..

Mase ultrasound scanning, tanye doctor on the baby's gender, and the doctor showed us, "See mommy, it's a cheeseburger! You can now start shop for girls clothing!" Oh happy nye, now it's a pair! Alhamdulillah..semoga anak mama ni sihat walafiat dan selamat lahir nanti amin..Mama, Babah and Abg Long will wait for your arrival with open arms and joy! :D

Baby Plus - Myth or Fact??

 

I learnt about BabyPlus from Hubby's cousin, Amir & wife, Anim when I was pregnant of Afeef at my 3rd trimester. Back then, I didn't even know where to find the thing in Malaysia, ingatkan kene ebay. Fikir2, by the time it reaches me, Afeef dh keluar dh pn. Later did I know yg Cosway ade jual BabyPlus. It was quite expensive, RM650 a unit, sangatla pricey for a super simple drumbeat sound device.

And me & hubby strongly think nak anak pandai amalkan aje surah Luqman hari2 and makan makanan berkhasiat mcm ikan, kurma and almond. InsyaAllah, pandai dan bersifat Mahmudah la anak kita. And Alhamdulillah, setakat ni, Afeef's behaviour and milestone mcm same je dgn testimonials from BabyPlus user: xbyk merengek, tido tenang xmeragam n xkisah pn bunyi bising,  terus pandai latch on when 1st time nursing, development cepat dr normal milestone (except for walking la huhu), and sgt cepat ckp..walaupun xpakai BabyPlus.

Tapi bile tgk Areez, Amir & Anim's only child yang sgt bijak berbanding cousins and aunty yg same age as him rase mcm teruja pulak nk beli (Hubby is, not me..I'm still sticking to our initial belief, Surah Luqman is the key recipe that is, although adela terpengaruh skit sbb sgt impress dgn Areez yg bijak). Hubby said, Amir die amalkan jugak Surah Luqman hari2 besides the BabyPlus. So after much contemplation and discussion between us, we thought well Surah Luqman is definitely the key recipe to Anak soleh yang bijak. But BabyPlus is just a supporting tool proven by scientific research. So why not trying, since Cosway pn is having an offer, for 3 coupons collected, we can get RM490 per unit. Akhirnya beli la jugak..

Al-kisah lepas beli terjumpe pulak this website yg sangat anti BabyPlus and the arguments given were so strong and evident that I was quite frustrated with myself for falling for BabyPlus marketing trick. But benda dh beli, and I didn't want to frustrate hubby even more, since he was the one who invested in it, so I continued using it, hari ni dh nk masuk lesson 2 i.e. a little bit faster drumbeat than the 1st lesson. Adik Ahza is responding well to it, everytime I was using it, adik Ahza will also kick vigorously as though following the drumbeat, hehe...

Logic wise, the marketing is quite convincing as it says, the baby will try to differentiate between the mother's heartbeat and the drumbeat from the BabyPlus. So in a way, we are training the baby's analytical part of the brain from the womb. Xpela, yang penting cuba je, berkesan atau tidak, semua nya ketentuan Allah swt dengan usaha yang berlipatganda dan doa kita yang xputus2..semoga anak2 mama semua bijak dan soleh insyaAllah..

Afeef's Walking Milestone & Word Jumble - Part 3

Afeef finally made it, Alhamdulillah! Today officially was the day he finally can walked more than 5 steps all by himself with no support but little baby steps..It all started in the afternoon, when Afeef nak kejar Tok Jam die yg nk keluar pegi wedding, die sibuk nk keja atok sampai x perasan dh jalan 4 tapak hehehe..Babah missed the 1st one, and the 2nd time was just before Maghrib adzan, mase tu Me and Hubby was in front of the TV with him and also Bibik watching the Indahnya Iman at Astro Oasis. Tiba2 die jalan 4-5 steps excited we tgk die. Bibik validated today as the 1st day die betul2 dh bole jalan, and lepas tu dh xde dh nk merangkak, asik nk berjalan aje...Alhamdulillah...

**Alhamdulillah, anak mama ni suke sangat dengar azan, dengar Mama n Babah mengaji, tgk Indahnya Iman..akan dengar aje, and senyum sambil goyang2 badan macam tgh meratib. insyaAllah ye syg, follow anak2 Nek Mama's footsteps :)

Memang started this week Bibik reported that Afeef dah start bole jalan 1-2 steps without support, and yesterday Bibik claimed that he can already walk 3-4 steps at a time and banyak kali Bibik ckp, minggu ni pandai la tu die jalan..tgk, Bibik pn doakan Afeef.. insyaAllah esok dah start laju la kot berjalan.

Word Jumble:
1) Last few days, played the matching alphabet game, bile the word "W" appears a few times and the sound goes "Double U", after a few times he repeated "Wobowoww.." hihi..double U la kot he meant.. ;)

Afeef's Word Jumble + Walking Milestone - Part 2

Well Afeef still can't walk as in, really walk in few steps. But he's nearing that, almost. He has built more confidence in trying to move a step forward without support. He can even walk sambil pimpin tangan Mama or Babah sebelah aje, not really gripping on to the hand as a support but just by holding it lightly as a matter of confidence-booster for him to walk. Before this, that is until early last week, he can only walk if he hang on to our two hands like a support while we chanted "tatih afeef tatih..tatih sampai boleh". Starting last week, he walked sambil papah2 tv cabinet, sofas and walls more often than crawling. Maybe he did have boosted his self-confidence more in walking now. Insya-Allah sempat kejar Babah walking at 1yr and 2mths old, or perhaps earlier amin..

Just this morning, he was dancing to the Sesame Street Great Numbers Game song, swaying right and left sambil melutut. Mama geramm sgt tgk budak bijak sorang ni, lalu menyerang die sambil menggomol pipi bayut die tu sampai terbaring, but he always enjoy kene gomol mcm mana cara sekali pun heheh..tu yg best tu..ade budak xsuke even kene kiss. Anyway, after kene gomol sampai terbaring, he struggle back up to melutut position and start to swaying again right and left sambil tangan mengepak2, dancing la tu. Siap xpuas hati pulak, terus stand up without any support and start to swaying left and right sambil berdiri on the bed! Terer betul la anak mama ni, kuat and stable tapi tu la..kene la bersabar tunggu die pandai jalan sendiri...

**Babah bising, siape ajar dancing2 ni??? Hihihi..mama la kot..likes to make funny dance in front of him to amuse him.. :p

Again, in talking, Afeef never fails his Mama and Babah..becok ke anak mama ni dh besar nanti, becok berisi takpe..jgn tin kosong ye syg, insyaAllah pandai bercakap perkara ilmiah dah besar nanti..amin..

1) Semalam while waving goodbye to my family mase nak push off from BSP to Puchong, Babah said loudly a few times from inside of the car to my family, "Assalamualaikum!" of which Afeef echoed, "Aomm!" 

assalamualaikum la kot..heheh..

2) Very specific bile nak panggil his father, he said "Babah!", when he saw me he''ll called me out "Mama!" and when he woke up from his sleep dalam guestroom bawah at BSP home, maybe he heard my voice talking in the dining, he called out, "Mama!!" Kalau dulu kurang specific, when calling me he'll say "Mamamamama" and husband as "Bababababah"

3) Taught him Iqra' yesterday, tunjuk first page that exhibits alif ba ta and taught "Aa Ba Ta, Ta Ba Ta, Ba Ba Ta" and he followed although berterabur, but he speak out "Ba..Ta...Ta..Bbaaa".

4) And this morning, before going to work, I heard him called Hakimi, "Abang!" X pelat langsung, walhal Abang is better known as "Aban" sbb Syasya kot dulu mase kecik pelat panggil Abang without the G at the end.

I think we have to start speaking to him reaall sloowly so he can pick up our words faster, coz I noticed, when we talked fast, he blabbers back non-specifically. But when we showed something like "moon" and repeated  the word many times, he'll try to repeat the word back. And when we talk slowly like, "This..is..your..belly..button.", he'll listen attentively sambil perhati aje mulut kite bergerak while saying the sentence, and try to follow later.

Afeef's Word Jumble - Part 1

Dah 1 year 1 month and 2 weeks old but belum pandai jalan lagi except for makin terer berdiri from mencangkung position without support, nibbling or playing with something sambil berdiri without support and makin terer turun katil and panjat katil dgn lajunya. Sekali pandang mmg macam rambo, tapi rambo yang extra-cautious hehehe...

When I trapped him to walk unconsciously with something that he wants in my hand, he will try to get it, but when he's just about to lift up his feet with no support, mula la lutut die macam menggigil2 and terus duduk n merangkak dengan lajunya towards me, hihihi..

Jalan nampaknya memang mcm lambat la..dh setahun xjalan2 lagi kire lambat la, mama dulu che ckp nk masuk 1yr dh pandai jalan. Tapi bab bercakap rasenye afeef ni cepat ni. Mmg sgt rajin imitate org cakap..terlalu rajin. Among the words he almost manage to capture are:

1) Bile aritu Ucu Ana ajar ckp "Uuchuu.." he echoed back dgn beria "Aaaccchaaaa.."
2) When the sesame street shows no. 10..he says "Atte.."
3) When I fed him my porridge he would say "Dap..dapp!" maybe bibik selalu cakap "sedap" kot when feeding him.
4) When Ucu Ana said tu him "AAPPEETUU.." tibe2 die jerit dgn lantang.. "APEEEE!!"
5) When we said "Happ!" indicating "Can't" he'll said back "Happ!"
6) Paling kelakar when we said long sentences dgn laju, he'll try to repeat back the whole sentence, ade la bunyi sikit2 like awal tgh and hujung ade bunyi same, and when he knew he can't really follow, he'll scream in excitement like he was doing something funny and silly hehehe...

My Blog: New Image. New Episode.

I've been meaning to dedicate this blog as a field for me to pour out my personal feelings and not for anybody to see except for my beloved other half, i.e wonderful husband. Furthermore, when I 1st started blogging, none of my friend (well at least none that i know of) blogs. So I xde geng blogging where we can do some blog-hopping activity. Suddenly at one period, like a gigantic wave from tsunami, all my close friends in Uni and schoolmates started to blog and announced their blog to the world, and in spite of that, I remained mine a secret. Probably I was used to having it that way, not for public to see that is. Plus, mine was unlike others with fancy templates and widgets and all, while mine was maintained the classic version with no modification at all. So typical of me yg xsuke kereta modified or jailbroken iPhone semata2 rase macam dah hilang the originality (haha..hubby always laugh at me for being at lost for this silly hard-headed stand).

Mase me and my adik2 were babies, my Mama used to write down all our milestones diligently so when we were older and dah pandai membaca, we always read the diary again and again sampai tercerai pages dia and gelak2kan ourselves and each other for being so cute and funny mase baby (Thank you Mama for being so thoughtful and a wonderful mom to us, we love you so very mucchh). So when Afeef our little handsome prince arrived in this world, I started to blog only on his milestone. So I changed my permission setting from only author can see to selected readers can see my blog and selected Hubby and my Kakngah who was in Korea doing her Master back then to keep them aware and updated on Afeef's milestone. But somehow they can't open my blogpage due to some unknown problem. So I was thinking to myself, maybe it's time for me to make this blog of mine public. Not that public, i.e no announcement to be made or I shan't publish the link in FB whatsoever. Simple enough, anyone can google and learn its existence, more specifically my family and friends.

Speaking of having an old-fashioned blog template, I started to ask 1 of my active blogging bosom, Zety on how to customize our blog template and she taught me how. I tried a few times, but the result was hideous, not to mention gonjeng with all the widgets tunggang terbalik and lari dari alignment. So I gave up and stick to the best that I could get at the moment which is frankly still not appealing to me. Until  one day today, I came across a nice blog with a nice template and I looked at every corner of the blog for cues of the origin of the gorgeous template and found this link. There were tons of gorgeous design for you to choose. I was being quite greedy at the moment and rase mcm nak try all and change every hour haha. But found this new template of mine, and I fell in love with my own blog for the 1st time after I changed to this new template! It is soo me, just look at the colours and the vibe it brings, it's my favourite combination of bright and vibrant shades of blues and greens! Terus bersemangat to realize my intention to make this blog of mine semi-public and hilang rase segan nak open it to everyone I care. Its as though orang yang banyak jerawat and obese segan nk jumpe orang n xnk keluar rumah langsung and after an extreme make-over at New York Skincare and Marie France Bodyline terus xsabar nak pergi KLCC kindathing hihihi!

If you click back at the archive to the 1st post of my blog, I named it as lilyiswhite simply because I pray for my life to be as pleasant, as simple and as blissful as lilies. And i thought it was a nice name for my blog to be until one day a pleasant and sweet girl came to work at my company and I became a good friend to the sweet girl (girl ye, tp dh ade anak sorang hihi xpela ibu muda so I shall address her as a girl), and as sweet and as pleasant as her persona, she was named by her parents, Lily. And eversince, every time I updated my blog, I felt like I'm hacking updating her blog instead of my own. It feels like plagiarism at times too, like I'm taking something of hers or at least a part of her haha tetibe je pulak rase macam tu  mcm xde kene mengena pun but it's true! Anyways, sempena mendapat semangat baru after succeeded in changing my  blog template with flying colours, I'm changing the name of my blog to worldofahza.blogspot.com since now my blog has changed from a place for me to pour out just my happiness i.e. me and the love of my love i.e hubby dearie to a place for me to mostly update my kids, the ahza siblings' milestone and of course on yours truly and hubby and families too.. :)

So family and friends who manage to come across my blog, happy reading..and to cinta hati mama and babah i.e. our lovely kids, happy reading and laughing at your cuteness mase baby..Mama and Babah loves you very2 much! xoxoxo
